DEB BLAHA, NATUROPATHIC PHYSICIAN

Conditions I treat with craniosacral therapy include:
   • Sinusitis
   • Headaches

   • Stess/anxiety/depression
   • Releasing adhesions (post surgical, abdominal issues)

  • Asthma
  • Complicated or medical conditions that are not resolving
  • Spiritual component behind physical issues

Craniosacral therapy works well for emotional as well as physical issues. I find when a physical issue is not fully resolving— there is often an emotional or spiritual component that needs to be addressed.

For example, if someone was in a motor vehicle accident and was angry at the time of the accident, that needs to be released along with the physical head, neck and whiplash injuries. Even if the person may no longer be aware of that anger.

Craniosacral is amazing for emotional issues. You may be feeling depression or anxiety, but that may also manifest in your body as fatigue, gut issues or jaw pain. By working on the two at the same time I am able to help you release it more fully from your body—allowing for more complete healing.

When I think of craniosacral therapy, I think of unwinding. Craniosacral therapy allows me to go quickly to the root of your physical or emotional issue and be there with it. Then using light touch I slowly follow your body. I help it to unwind and release areas of restriction or holding.

Conclusion: "The present study shows that craniosacral therapy improves the quality of life of patients with fibromyalgia, reducing their perception of pain and fatigue and improving their night rest and mood, with an increase in physical function. Our craniosacral therapy protocol also reduces anxiety levels, partially improving the depressive state. . . "http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3135864/
